Mess System
The place where the students eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner is Navodaya’s mess. Being residential in character proper messing arrangements are of utmost importance. Messing arrangements are made by the Vidyalaya itself by employing cooks and helpers who are busy cooking food all the time may it be an ordinary occasion or a festive occasion. This is done under the supervision of the Catering Assistant. The senior most teacher is the mess incharge. Both of them ensure that well cooked & nutritious food is provided to the children within the stipulated budget of Rs. 600 per student.
Principal, HMs, AHMs and the teaching staff are also entitled to take the meals in the hostel mess, free of charge. All other teachers get free lunch here.
